Dr. Davis began his physical therapy career in 1997, while on active duty with the U.S. Navy. During his 6 years on active duty and 2 years in the Naval Reserve he treated military members and their families, but excelled at rehabilitating high level athletes and Navy SEALs. His passion for sports rehabilitation led him to be selected as the head of athletic training and rehabilitation for the Navy and Armed Forces volleyball teams.
After completing his military service, Dr. Davis returned to school at the University of Southern California to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Dr. Davis is an expert in movement analysis, and has studied human running and walking gait extensively.
He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is full-body certified in Active Release Technique®, a soft-tissue treatment system. He treats patients of all ages and activity levels.
Though he has always been active and athletic, since moving to Austin in 2007, Dr. Davis has developed a zeal for running, cycling, and swimming. He has competed in varying distance triathlons and running races, and knows what it takes to make it to the finish line.
